Spiritual Inspiration

Prayer Group

The Prayer Group meets on Thursday mornings at 11.00am

Hands holding a glowing light.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.

Helen Keller

PRAYER MEETING AND BIBLE STUDY

The Bible Study and Prayer Group

Meetings are held in the Wyper Hall from 11.00am until 12.00pm every Thursday morning. The aim of the meeting is to have a time of fellowship, reflect on a passage and pray for local, national and current world situations. It is normally led by Rev K D MacLeod. We would love to see you there. Don't feel you have to pray aloud - just pray in your heart or say "AMEN" to someone else's prayer.

Current Prayer

Psalm 46 v1 tells us "God is our refuge and strength in time of trouble." This can apply to the world situation or to us personally. In the month of August, let us pray for places of conflict around the world and the people caught up in it.

Prayer for August

Heavenly Father, we lift our world to You today. In the midst of conflict, hardship and uncertainty we ask your deep peace and healing to cover the earth. We pray for those who are suffering, vulnerable or displaced from their homes. We ask you will provide for their needs, protect them from fear. Grant wisdom and courage to those who govern. Help them choose talks over weapons and work for true justice, peace and reconciliation. May all know the presence of the Prince of Peace.

AMEN
