Let us act justly, always showing mercy. Break down the walls, transform lives indeed. With willing hearts, we gladly serve the Lord our God In Him we trust and in Him we believe And reach beyod our every expectation. Let us have faith in all we can achieve.

The Guild Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for loving me right where I am

Help me to know Your love deep in my heart

And enable love to flow from me

To those with whom I am in contact.

The Guild held it's first meeting on Monday 5 October at 1.30pm. Our locum minister, Rev K D MacLeod was our speaker and he introduced our theme for this session - "Beyond the Walls". Our syllabus is complete with the committee seeking to make it a varied, interesting and entertaining programme. A warm welcome was extended to all who came to join us; whether ladies or gentlemen.

The Guild motto is "Whose we serve and Whom we serve" and we will be endeavouring to fulfil this during our first session as a new Guild.

GUILD  WEEK is 14-18 September and the Guild office  has suggested that Guilds across Scotand should unit in prayer on Monday 14 September from 2.00pm-3.00pm to pray for the future work of the Guild locally and nationally as well as the projects we support.  As our Guild does not commence until October, our committee has suggested our members could set aside some time to do just that.

It is official! The first meeting of Kilsyth & District Parish Church Guild will take place on Monday 5 October at 1.30pm in the hall.

A new committee has been formed, a possible syllabus has been drawn up and we are in process of contacting speakers to find out if they are available.

As a committee, we are looking forward to the new session and with God's help, He will steer us through any "teething problems".  No matter what, we have to remember "Whose we are and Whom we serve".

The Guild meets on Monday afternoons, beginning again on 5th October at 1.30pm in the large hall. It may be the summer break but we have begun preparations for the first meeting as Kilsyth & District Parish Church Guild. No committee has been formed but the syllabus will be drawn up by present committee members of both former Guilds.

Next session's national Guild theme is "Beyond the Walls". As our churches unite, we must remember that we cannot be bound by our need to get to  know each other and to work together as a new congregation to the glory of God. We must also look outside into the community and even world-wide. By our words and actions we can show others what it means to  be a Christian.
